Now Hiring: Drafting / Quality Control Technologist

N.L. Engineered Precast Products is seeking a motivated, flexible individual for the full-time position of Drafting / Quality Control Technician. We are interested in an individual that is a Civil Engineering Technologist, Professional Engineer (or EIT) or experienced in precast concrete manufacturing. This position requires an individual who is detail-oriented with excellent drawing interpretation skills and a basic understanding of concrete testing procedures.

This is a full-time position: Monday-Friday, 40-50 hours per week, with compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications. All work would be performed at our manufacturing facility in Armstrong. Estimating and Project Management opportunities are also available within this position.

Responsibilities for this position includes:

 

  • Drawing and specifications interpretation
  • Creating shop drawings with AutoCAD
  • Material and Product Inspection including:
    • Raw material inspection
    • Finished product inspection
    • Aggregate testing
    • Concrete testing
    • Documentation of all related QC information
Now Hiring: General Manager

N.L. Engineered Precast Products is seeking a qualified and experienced individual for the full-time position of General Manger at our Concrete Manufacturing plant located in Armstrong, BC.

NLEPP is a CPCI-certified precast plant which specializes in flat work manufacturing. The successful candidate shall show case significant experience in the construction industry, specifically manufacturing operations and management.

We offer competitive full-time salaries, which will be discussed with the successful candidate. We also offer extended benefit and bonuses based on overall performance.

Responsibilities for this position includes:

 

  • Manage staffing levels in all areas – administration, engineering and drafting, quality control, lead hands, production labourers, equipment operators.
  • Organization of employee duties, oversee and assist in development of production schedules and ensure administration (invoicing, requisitions, purchase orders etc.) are being completed in the proper manner.
  • Approve employee hours and day-to-day expenses of the operation.
  • Organize projects while setting bidding and drafting timelines.
  • Cost Control
  • Work closely with estimating and sales teams.
  • Building customer relationships and conduct internal and external business development.
  • Attend key external meetings.
  • Work well and build strong relationships with the President and VP Finance on key decisions for the operation.
  • Report quarterly to the Board of Directors on performance and expectations.
  • Ability to travel within BC and AB from time-to-time (5-10%)
